About the service
The department of orthopedics and traumatology treats surgical pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, currently consists of 3 specialist doctors who are divided equally in the work of consultation, emergencies, operating room and follow-up of hospitalized patients seeing varied cases of trauma and degenerative of the musculoskeletal system, including referred cases of other institutions of the country.
Orthopedics and traumatology consultation is located on the ground floor in the emergency area, and hospitalization in the area of surgery-orthopedics on the 2nd floor of the hospital.
The working day is from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Face-to-face emergency guard from Monday to Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day.
The activities are distributed as follows: from 8 to 9am discussion of admissions or activities carried out during the previous guard as well as follow-up and / or discharge of hospitalized patients. From 9 to 16: 00hrs general consultation, emergencies and interconsultation care performed by the doctor who is not on duty and an assistant. In case of having elective and / or semi-elective surgeries, they will be performed by a doctor on call and an assistant if necessary. From 16: 00hrs the doctor on duty will only attend emergency cases.
